Silvia has more than twenty-five years’ experience in litigation and arbitration, corporate and commercial law, corporate governance, corporate crisis and insolvency proceedings.
Silvia assists Italian and foreign clients in complex domestic and international lawsuits, including those before the higher courts, with a focus on corporate, commercial and financial matters, including corporate crisis, corporate governance and issues regarding the liability of corporate bodies. She also has extensive experience in energy and tender-related disputes and has served as arbitrator in national and international arbitrations.
Silvia is also a point of reference for major multinational groups in relation to delicate corporate and commercial matters. She has served as a director in several companies, including listed ones.
Silvia also has extensive experience in advising private clients and in matters related to inheritance issues.
After graduating magna cum laude from the University of Pisa, Silvia obtained her professional qualification in 1998 and has been enrolled in the Special Register to practice before the Italian Superior Court (Corte di Cassazione) and other superior jurisdictions since 2014.
She is acknowledged as an expert in Litigation in the main directories.
Silvia often participates as a speaker in national and international seminars and conferences on corporate matters as well as on corporate liability and domestic and cross-border litigation issues. She lectures at the School for the preparation of State examinations of the Fondazione Commercialisti ODCEC of Milan at the Bocconi University.
Silvia is a member of the American Bar Association International Law Section, where she serves as a member of the Steering Group of the International Litigation Committee, Vice-Chair in the International Private Client Committee and Vice Chair for Diversity in the Women’s Interest Network. She is a member of the International Bar Association (IBA), International Litigation Committee, Arbitration Committee and Women’s Interest Group.
Before joining Ughi e Nunziante, Silvia spent more than 20 years at a leading Italian law firm with an international focus.
