Andrea Marega

Partner

Andrea is a partner at the Firm and focuses on administrative law, in particular concessions and public procurement, as well as environment, antitrust and regulated markets (both at national and EU level).

Before joining Ughi e Nunziante, Andrea worked for over five years at the “Antitrust, Competition and Trade” department of the law firm Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP. He also gained professional experience at the European Commission, in Bruxelles, where he focused on public tenders and R&D. Before then, he worked for the Italian Antirust Authority (AGCM), where he dealt with cases concerning competition and unfair commercial practices in the telecommunications and audiovisual sectors.

He received an award from the Administrative Studies Institute ‘Umberto Borsi’ for having submitted the best dissertation in Administrative Law among the Universities of Bologna, Firenze, Pisa and Siena. After graduating, he completed a Master in Company Law at the Advanced School of Public Administration Studies of the University of Bologna. He holds a PhD from the University of Siena in antitrust law. Andrea is the author of several publications on antitrust matters and administrative law.
