After degree cum laude at the University of Rome “La Sapienza”, Carmelita obtained her PhD in Civil Procedure Law at the same university and, since 2011, she has been a professor and researcher at the University of Rome “G. Marconi”.
She was admitted to the bar since 2009 and, as from 2016, she was admitted to the Supreme Court of Cassation and Italian higher courts.
Carmelita has gained her experience by working for prestigious Italian law firms, dealing mainly with litigation and assisting companies, receivers in bankruptcy and private clients both on a judicial and extra-judicial level. She inter alia assisted clients in tobacco litigation and in cases of abuse of economic dependence as well as in outsourcing operations and servicing contracts for NPLs; moreover, she also assisted clients in litigations focused on financial brokerage, market manipulation and liability for unlawful granting of financings.
Carmelita has also a broad experience in banking litigation, and, in particular, with respect to public financing operations.
